Review Policy

If you are an author or a publisher that wants me to review your book, read on.

September 24th, 2009: I am currently open to review requests. Reviewing a book needs me to spend time on it and hence, I review only the genre I enjoy reading. I had been writing only about the books I liked and hence you’ll see mostly positive reviews on this site. But please do not expect only positive reviews.

What Genres do I read?
I read Historical fiction, Literary Fiction, Women’s Fiction and Chick-lit (selectively though). I like to read books where the author weaves in the local culture & heritage into the book.

I read very little non-fiction. Most of what I read here are biographies or memoirs. I’m not entirely closed to non-fiction but that will take a good pitch.

Please note that I need to find the book appealing and not just fall into one of the genres mentioned above – for me to read and review it.

What Genres do I not read?
Christian fiction, horror and erotica. Moreover, I do not review short stories.

What kind of submissions do I accept?
I have no reservations against reviewing self-published books. However, they should appeal to me. I do not accept e-books because it hurts my eyes.

How long will I take to review a book?
I take a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks to be able to read the book and complete the review but that is not possible always. So, please let me know in advance if you have a specific deadline / requirement.

Where else do I publish my reviews?
I publish my reviews on Amazon.com and Library Thing. Please let me know in case you want me to consider other places to post my reviews too.
